29/10/06 Sunday night the GSE Team enjoys Horwich's Oktoberfest Bonfire Night. A final team gathering before everyone departs towards their separate ways on Monday and returns to Chicago. GOODBYE DISTRICT 1280!! WE LOVE YOU!!!

26/10/06 That evening the Rotary Club of Tottington & Bury West hosted the final rally for the GSE team at the Walshaw Sports Club. Warm greetings & heartfelt gratitude were shared between the team and the several rotary clubs that attended. The team had the opportunity to share their several experiences & learned lessons along the way that night. That evening District 1280's GSE Team to Chicago was also presented as well. Go GSE CHICAGO!! See you on the flip-side!!

26/10/06 GSE Team visits the National Health Services Ambulance service for an in-service with director's Brian White & David Winchester. Icky & his questionable Health & Safety counterpart showed us around all day and the team had the opportunity to take some "shouts" with the ambulance crews. The team also visited the Northwest Air Ambulance and witnessed the crew getting a shout for a rescue.

7/10/06 Saturday. A vivacious American paramedic-fire fighter on a goodwill mission to the UK was at the centre of a real life drama.
Immediately, the 30-year-old lead an attempt to revive the 50-year-old man, with her host Kevin Moore, President of Saddleworth Rotary Club, and himself a former hospital anaesthetist.
The man had been walking with his family on a country footpath near The Church Inn at Uppermill, when he complained of feeling unwell.

I am Dennis McCauley, a 15 year veteran of the Morton Grove Fire Department. I currently hold the rank of Firefighter/Paramedic. Morton Grove is approximately 15 miles Northwest of downtown Chicago.
